Warner Bros released the poster of the much awaited Joker:Folie à Deux on Youtube on 9th April 2024. The film is a sequel to the biggest blockbuster of 2019: Joker. The film played an important part in helping us see Joker beyond his madness and connect with him on deeper levels. Because just like him we too are a victimised by the unfair and unforgiving world.
The film became a pop cult classic and there was anticipation of its sequel. And, lo and behold, five years down the line, we have Joker: Folie à Deux . The titular character would be played by Joaquin Phoenix who won an oscar for his performance in the prequel.
Joker has been capture and locked up in prisons of Gotham City, where living is a chore and Joker is Joker no more. He is completely out of wit and character as prisoner called Arthur. The trailer stars Joaquin Pheonix as Arthur and Lady Gaga features as Harley Quinn. They meet in prison and love blossoms and that’s when the trouble starts. Wrapped in a musical, the criminal love story is sure to take you on a ride!The dialogue, “I’ll tell you what’s changed. I’m not alone anymore” sums up the madness of their journey together.
The trailer of the upcoming film which was released by the official handle of Warner Bros on YouTube, Twitter and Instagram has received an overwhelming response from the audience. With over 70 Million views on Youtube and 2.3 Million views and 12 thousand retweets within first 24 hr of its release.
